The Circus of Cancer

Yesterday we went to our second Relay for Life of the year. The first was here in town and our team did a really great job. I haven't had a chance to blog about it but I will soon. This second Relay was in Pulaski County and I was the opening speaker. I had some close friends who wanted to be there and watch but couldn't so I promised I would record it. So for those that actually follow this blog you can follow the link to youtube and watch it. The theme for their Relay was Carnival. Oh and as I was speaking a storm rolled in. The wind got pretty crazy and was shaking the entire trailer we were standing on and it even rained a little bit. If you stick it out to the end (its only 7 min) there is even some dancing in the rain (not from me). Last time I was in St. Robert speaking for something it poured the entire time. I tried to bring the rain back home with us but it only followed us close to Jeff City and then stopped. Anyway, here is the link. I'll post some pictures of both relays very soon. Thank you to Pulaski County Relay Committee for asking me to do the opening ceremony. It was a huge honor!

  1. I learned about your blogs through a mutual FB friend. I just wanted to say that I think you are an amazing young woman and I'm sure that your family including all of your friends must be so proud of you. Your testimony is awesome. It would be hard for me (even at my age) to not feel sorry for myself at times and keep on moving like you do. I have a daughter your age with two young daughters. I can't even imagine what I would do if she were in your situation. Well, I would probably be on my knees praying all of the time for starters, because where else do you start but with God. I did like your photography page too. I will continue to follow your journey as long as you post. Once again your testimony is so inspiring. Thank you for sharing.
